LOCAL NEWS: Firefighters Scrub Up For Charity

On Saturday 19th March Firefighters from Stafford Borough took part in a National Charity Car Wash to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity. Anne Leigh, Staffordshire Treasurer for The Fire Fighters Charity said that not only could members of the public do their bit for charity and get their car washed but also free home fire risk checks were available for all members of the public ensuring that they are as safe from fires in their homes. The Stafford Firefighters used their hoses to wash the cars in a bid to raise as much money as possible for the charity. The event was at 10am-4pm and was held at the fire station on Beaconside. Some of the money raised is going to the local charity, St Joseph’s Convent in Stafford.
